The PROVANTAGE Handbook / Content workflow
An LED wall is a specific pixel canvas. Content becomes predictable when design, playback and technical teams agree that canvas before final files are built.
A wall can be physically wide but have an unusual resolution. Standard HD files may be placed within it, scaled, cropped or surrounded by other visual zones—each choice should be intentional.

Canvas
Exact mapped pixel width and height; presentation window if the wall carries multiple content zones.
Design
Aspect ratio, safe areas, minimum legible type, contrast and treatment of very fine lines.
Media
Accepted containers, codecs, frame rates, audio mapping and playback behaviour.
Fonts
Embedded or packaged fonts, approved substitutions and test exports.
Delivery
File naming, version owner, deadline, transfer route and late-change process.
Fallback
Backup file or playback route agreed for presentation-critical assets.
The workflow
DESIGN.
PREFLIGHT.
REHEARSE.
Before site: validate dimensions, fonts, links, transitions, media, audio and duration. Render important video in the specified format and watch every file through.
On the production system: test scaling, colour, playback, switching and confidence outputs. Review from audience positions, not only at the operator desk.
At rehearsal: run the real cue sequence with speakers and show control. Freeze versions before doors and route necessary changes through one owner.
Why “we will resize it onsite” fails

THE DESIGN.
It may preserve a picture, but it cannot automatically repair undersized type, misplaced safe areas, altered proportions, missing fonts, incompatible media or content composed for a different stage shape.
Delivery checklist
ONE MASTER.
CLEAR VERSIONS.
TESTED BACKUP.
Deliver early, name files consistently, nominate the person authorised to approve changes and retain a tested fallback. The goal is not merely to open the file; it is to reproduce the intended content throughout the live programme.
