Programme
Which rooms, stages, audiences, cameras, performers and transitions must the venue support?
Access
What routes, docks, lifts, doors, timings, protection and storage govern load-in and load-out?
Infrastructure
Which power, rigging, network, tie-line, control and communication resources are verified?
Environment
What dimensions, acoustics, ambient light, noise, sightlines and operating restrictions affect design?
Authority
Who owns approvals, drawings, permits, isolations, fire systems, security and final release?
Application notes
Context changes the answer.
Ballroom event
Record stage wall, ceiling height, audience geometry, chandeliers, service routes, power, house systems and adjacent-event constraints.
Multi-room conference
Trace presenter, content, network, comms and equipment movement between plenary, breakout, holding and production spaces.
Outdoor or temporary site
Ground, weather, drainage, access, structure, power generation, neighbourhood and emergency planning require specialist follow-up.
The common mistake
Taking photographs without recording decisions
Images without dimensions, direction, labels, ownership and unresolved questions create false confidence. Every observation should connect to a production consequence or follow-up action.
